you gotta lose your mind

i may now be back living in a new midwest zip code but i still love me a dishevelly-chic downtown look... VERY detroit rock city! i ain't ashamed to admit my plans to totally going to crib this exact look right down to that amazing metal belt from mango!

now i've been good for way too long

a busy week and the usual boredom with my personal closet options (story of a woman's life no?) led me to put in a reservation on rent the runway for this halston heritage dress for a friends' wedding this coming weekend... i've never used their service so i'm excited and a bit nervous, and i'll be sure to fill you all in on how the overall process goes! the wedding is at a summer camp in connecticut (amazing!) so i'm gonna do a little woodland nymph inspired look- with the right dose of edge of course! i've rounded up the perfect gold accents but i'm still stuck on a nail color- deep purple? nude? gold? navy? gah!

sweet dreams are made of this...

in a perfect world my fall uniform would be leather leggings, a white tunic blouse and some bitchin (yeah i said bitchin) ankle boots. le sigh.

Fashion Blarrrrrrghh!!!

so today my friend tom at work told me i was dressed as a fashion pirate.

"it's not a bad thing, you look cute! if i was straight i'd be all over you!"

hmmmm... i think this is the first and last time i'll be wearing this ensemble. and i'll be sure to work on my photography skills too, eek!

(special thanks to tom grasso who made a pirate joke possible in my first blog post!)
