your tv is made of leatha

one of the many glorious aspects to living in new york is the plethora of sample sales. almost every week it seems, you can find designer staples for less. yesterday my friend mary and i visited the venexiana sample sale. having never heard of them before, let alone seen their clothes i had no idea what we were getting into. well holy guacamole it was a pure fashiongasm. all of their pieces had a very rock and roll, marianne faithfull vibe with leathers and fur and retro details. i think mary and i tried on everything in the showroom. the only saving grace to our bank accounts was that most of the pieces were sample sizes, resulting in many items fitting the bust but not the shoulders, fitting the waist but not the calves, fitting the waist but too short on the arms, etc. miracle of miracles i was able to fit into this luscious creamy peachy leather jacket and a polka dot silk blouse. i am in LOVE with this jacket and even find myself petting it when it's not on. it's the perfect spring leather color and the shoulder and sleeve details are just sick. oh and it was only $100 and retails for over $1500. nothing like a kickass leather jacket i say!!!
